Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake: Dec 2027Not announced: our best guess from Ubisoft's "2027" window.
Best guessUbisoft has said only "2027" for the Remake (on every store page and in its Aug 25, 2026 reveal), with a Closed Playtest in November 2026 and four monthly feature cycles on its Oct 7, 2026 roadmap still to run; with no month, quarter or price announced, we count to the end of the announced year. Remake Release Date

Ubisoft has dated Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake only to 2027, with no day, month, price, editions or pre-orders as of Oct 21, 2026. It can be wishlisted on Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Ubisoft Store, the PlayStation Store and Xbox, and a Closed Playtest runs in November 2026.

Ubisoft has dated Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake only to 2027, with no day, month, quarter, price, editions or pre-orders as of Oct 21, 2026. Ubisoft gave the year when it revealed the game at Gamescom Opening Night Live on Aug 25, 2026: the Remake "is coming in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC" (Ubisoft, Aug 25, 2026). Its Reveal Trailer premiered that night, a cinematic that opens on "The great king of Erathia is dead" and gives no date beyond the year. Every store page says the same "2027" and offers only a wishlist. The next date Ubisoft has set is a Closed Playtest in November 2026.

Wide painted art. At left a city burns over rivers of lava with demons in silhouette. In the middle stand a hooded skeleton, a red-skinned devil with ram horns and a red-haired woman in armor wearing a silver circlet, pointing a sword. At right, under bright clouds, white towers rise, a rider on a winged beast flies and a giant armored figure holds a glowing sword above marching troops.

What Ubisoft has said

Every dated statement on the release, as of Oct 21, 2026:

Date Where What it said
Aug 25, 2026 Ubisoft News "coming in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC"; "Wishlist the game today"
Aug 26, 2026 Press release "the game will launch in 2027 on Ubisoft+, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store"
Aug 27, 2026 Steam dev blog All factions "from day one"; no date
Oct 7, 2026 Steam roadmap Four monthly feature cycles; a playtest "in November"
Oct 19, 2026 Steam Closed Playtest sign-ups open "this November"

Ubisoft's Gameplay Overview Trailer of Aug 26, 2026 ends the same way, promising only to share "more details" and to welcome players back to Erathia "very soon". Ubisoft has not "narrowed that window down to a particular quarter", GamesHub noted the day after the reveal (GamesHub, Aug 26, 2026), and nothing it has published since has done so.

What each store shows

Read on Oct 21, 2026:

Store Release shown Price What you can do
Steam (app 3809850) "2027" None Wishlist, follow
Epic Games Store "Coming Soon" None Wishlist
Ubisoft Store "Release date: 2027" None Add to wishlist
PlayStation Store "Releases on: 2027" None Add to Wishlist
Xbox Date not announced None View the product page

The Ubisoft Store page's title says "Pre-order", but it shows no price and no order button, only a wishlist. The PlayStation Store notes "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" and shows no ESRB rating, and this viki found no ESRB or PEGI rating for the game as of Oct 21, 2026.

Price and editions

Ubisoft has not announced a price, a standard or deluxe edition, a collector's edition or pre-order bonuses, as of Oct 21, 2026. "The game can already be added to wishlists, but pre-orders are not yet available and no price has been confirmed" (GamesHub, Aug 26, 2026), and that is still what every store shows. This page will give the price when Ubisoft does. For comparison, the original game with both expansions costs $9.99 on Steam as the Complete Edition.

The press release names Ubisoft+ among the ways to play at launch. Ubisoft's announcements do not mention Xbox Game Pass.

The playtest and the roadmap before launch

The Closed Playtest is the first time players can try the Remake at home: "Get a chance to play Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake in our Closed Playtest this November!" (Ubisoft on Steam, Oct 19, 2026). Sign-ups are at register.ubisoft.com; its days within November, size and platforms are not announced.

Ubisoft's roadmap of Oct 7, 2026 plans four feature cycles, each lasting "roughly one month": Playstyles; Game Modes and Quality of Life; User-Generated Content; and Multiplayer and Long-Term Operations, with faction and art reveals alongside (Ubisoft on Steam). The roadmap gives no dates for the cycles and does not tie them to the release. The same post says the team has "already begun refining several creature models" after feedback on the art (Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake).

Our best guess

The countdown at the top of this viki counts to Dec 31, 2027. That is our guess, not Ubisoft's date: Ubisoft has said only "2027", with no month or quarter, and with a Closed Playtest in November 2026 and four monthly feature cycles still to run, the end of the announced year is the latest date the announcement allows. We will move it the day Ubisoft names a date.

Two Heroes games for 2027

The Remake is not the only Heroes game expected in 2027. Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, a new game by Unfrozen published by Hooded Horse and Ubisoft, entered early access on Apr 30, 2026, and PC Gamer expects it to leave early access in 2027 (PC Gamer, Aug 26, 2026). Neither has a date for 2027. Ubisoft says both came from the same 2022 decision to reinvest in the series (Aug 27, 2026).
